EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF APPROACHES TO COST MANAGEMENT OF ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN SLOVAKIA
Abstract
Paper analyses the empirical approaches of Slovak construction companies to cost management in construction and architectural projects. Authors conducted own research on sample of Slovak construction companies aimed to identify the important issues in cost management and cost controlling. Author examined wide range of cost management and cost controlling concepts, methods and IT tools, its barriers and benefits in construction and architectural practice. The analyses showed that companies in general are aware of effective cost management and cost controlling methods, they are used more intensive in medium sized and large companies, IT tools is generally accepted and exploited through the industry, with stronger impact in medium sized and large companies.
