PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING OF STUDENTS AND THEIR UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING OF LIFE
Abstract
In the context of global social changes, the problem of psychological well-being is increasingly becoming the subject of research. The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between the students' understanding of the meaning of life and psychological well-being. As a result, it turned out that students with a high level of understanding of the meaning of life and a high level of psychological well-being determine psychological well-being as love, health, self-realization, safety. Students with a low level of understanding of the meaning of life and a low level of psychological well-being believe that psychological well-being is the presence of material wealth, social status, power. There is a positive correlation (R = 0,8) between the understanding of the meaning of life and the level of psychological well-being, between all the scales of vital orientation test and Ryff indicators of psychological well-being (p <0,01) was found. Further research will focus on identifying gender and social differences in understanding the relationship between the meaning of life and the psychological well-being of the individual.
