THE INFLUENCE OF MOVEMENT GAMES ONTO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPEED AND COORDINATIVE CAPACITY OF MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstract
In order to optimize the instructive - educational process during Physical Education in the case of 5th grade students, an experiment was conducted based on the organisation and conducting of the lessons (2 hours/week) using movement game as the main means of achieving the objectives of the themes, speed and coordinative capacity. The study and research were conducted at the “Coresi” Middle School, of Targovişte. In order to reach reliable conclusions, we included in the study 52 students, both boys and girls, from two 5th grade classes: from series B, as the experiment group, n=10 girls and n=16 boys, and from series C, as the control group, n= 10 girls and n=16 boys, of professor V.G.M.. All the subjects underwent certain control tests through initial and final testing (the Ply 5x10m test), Pass in place between 2 pupils for 30", Throwing the ball to a vertical target from a distance of 6m, Dribbling through cones for a distance of 30m, and the Square Test). At the experiment group, during the lessons, the priority was conducting the themes (speed and coordinative capacity) through the game method, game organized on value groups, on option groups, on micro-groups based on affinities and common interests. The focus on practising the movement games conducted in self-organised and self-arbitrary manner was enlarged. As a result of the final testing of the subjects, in most of the control tests, there were significant differences, at the significance threshold of 0,05 (pextless0.05), in the case of the experiment group, which shows the influence of the conducted movement games onto the development of speed and coordinative capacity.
