SYSTEM OF POLITICAL PARTIES IN THE SLOVAK AND CZECH REPUBLIC WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE ELECTION FOR EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT IN 2014
Abstract
The evolution of political party systems in the Slovak and Czech Republic is very specific during last 25 years. It is really questionable if it is stabilized right now or if some other changes can be expected as still new parties emerge. The article deals with current position, influence and strength of relevant political parties in the Slovak and Czech republic within the context of the election to the European parliament in May in 2014 and compares the results with the last parliamentary election in both countries. As the conclusion it offers the possible predictions for the future.
