EYES - THE WINDOWS OF OUR MIND
Abstract
The paper focuses on some aspects of the intimate relationship between personality and vision. The aim of our article is to relocate the eye pathology and its understanding, through the perspective of those who live with this problem. The eye pathology is reported to the suffering human being, who is aware that he risks to lose the richest source of information, an important support of social life and relations, and, of course, he risks to lose the pleasure of seeing. The article also presents some aspects concerning the role of vision in the process of the personality development. The development of vision is directly correlated with the development of affective life, but also it is correlated with the intelligence. The authors considered it might be interesting to study the mechanisms of vision development, having in mind the education of VISION, but it was even more challenging to focus also on the education of BLINDNESS.
