SECURITY IN THE NATURAL GAS SUPPLIES TO THE COUNTRIES OF THE VISEGRAD GROUP
Abstract
The countries of the Visegrad Group (V4) are dependent on the natural gas import from Russia which uses the supplies of this raw material to achieve its political goals. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the demand for natural gas, its extraction and the import structure in the V4 countries. The indexes of the energy security and the levels of concentrations on the V4 markets have been compared. The conclusions drawn from the research analysis are to determine the activities that are to increase the energy security in this part of Europe.
