REDEFINITION OF THE MODERNIST ARCHITECTURE IN CONTEXT OF CREATING 'THE SOCIAL'
Abstract
In my article I show how – based on existing architecture and some kind of urban nostalgia – a new definition of a social value and a new idea of architecture have been created. The paper grounds on qualitative research I conducted in Warsaw, Poland, in 2013 (IDIs in Polish with key opinion leaders, social activists, NGOs, writers, etc. approaching an increasing phenomenon of a wide interest in modernist architecture). I reflect on both: ways of creating the new perception and its results.
