CONTEMPORARY FAMILY - BETWEEN INDIVIDUALISM AND RECIPROCAL DEDICATION
Abstract
During the last decades, the family has undergone some profound mutations in its structure and functions: it has become increasingly sensitive to all changes occurring in society. Consequently, the term family has become more ambiguous and it tends to cover today some different realities than those characteristic to the previous generation. The structure and functionality of the family has a psychosocial character. Doesn't matters the personalities taken in themselves, but their relationship, the interaction between them, because the similar personality profiles included in the conjugal relationships may lead to different developments and climates. The family is thereby the system of personalities in interaction and mutual interdependence, a system inside of which occurring some communicational and emotional changes, perceptions, evaluations and interpersonal valuing, as well as some marital, parental and filial processes.
