Abstract

The transitive processes taking place in the competitive struggle, and shifting it to the sphere of high technologies lead to the expansion of the innovative field in the world economic system , simultaneously embracing a wide range of new branches, including even those, which didn't use to be treated as knowledge-intensive or high-tech before. A prominent place among them is occupied by energetics. This area happens to be one of the greatest customers and consumers of the creation of the innovative technologies; predominantly because of the considerable capital intensity in energetics in combination with investment capacities of energy enterprises. The implementation of this potential determines the need of forming an entire space of special innovative organizational structures around energy companies. Their creation is to be based on the use of network and cluster mechanisms of innovative development. The world experience of fulfillment and operation of network and cluster innovative organizational structures in energetics is being generalized throughout the article. Within the framework of researches conducted the results of application of network and cluster models in the innovative activities of the world leading energy companies are being generalized as well.
