Abstract

The article deals with the issues of rational development of nature management and improvement of the environmental situation in agriculture in Russia. Development of rural areas, first of all – is to ensure their ecological safety on the basis of the development of rational nature management and modern implementation of measures to prevent the negative impact of anthropological processes on the environment. The organization and planning of rural development should take into account the need to preserve the existing land Fund, biological diversity, natural and cultural landscapes. All this requires consistent research and solutions with the help of mathematical and statistical apparatus. The study deals with the issues of improving the system of statistical observation and scientific and methodological support for the development of rural areas. Proposals are made to improve the collection of statistical information, to improve the list of statistical indicators related to agricultural censuses. Creation of the uniform information resource reflecting information on a condition and development of rural territories in the Russian Federation is offered. Forecasts of further development of the agrarian policy focused on reduction of expenses on import of food and on the direction of the released financial resources for modernization and updating of domestic agrarian and industrial complex, strengthening of production and social infrastructure of the Russian village are made.
