Abstract

The article deals with the structure of the civil society forming in Russia. A lot of attention has been given to this phenomenon recently both in theory and in practical terms. Over the last years, major changes have taken place in the social and political life of Russia. New institutions have appeared. According to their formal features they can be assigned to the elements of civil society. However, there are some opinions that civil society in Russia is still in its infancy. The article analyses the reasons why the obvious quantitative and qualitative substantive changes in the social and political system of Russia did not lead to a decisive quantum leap - to the formation of a structured and full-scale civil society. The article gives an analysis of the main elements of Russian civil society and the links between them, which contribute to the appearance of emergent properties. These links provide a stable legal relations and high civic culture of the population. The authors’ ideas are based on the data of sociological researches, they perform a deep analysis of the main components of civil society and the relationships between them.
