Abstract

The report articulates an approach to identify and study various semantic contexts in humanitarian texts on the basis of full-text search on the respective databases. The expediency of application for this is based on a universal instrument: a multifunctional digital full-text library. The capabilities of such an approach are demonstrated by the example of the information system T-Libra (developed by «Constanta», Ltd., Arkhangelsk, Russia). As illustration we opted for an analysis of the theme “Explication of the concept of «loneliness» in the works of N. Berdyaev”. For this purpose we use a combination of frequency-oriented queries, allowing to explicate the subject area of the works, or aggregate works («vertical» macro-contexts), and paragraph-oriented queries, allowing to explicate the «horizontal» micro-contexts within author’s paragraphs. The report was prepared and got supported with a grant of the Russian Humanities Fund No. 14-03-12017
