CONSUMER AND FOOD DEMAND IN THE ROMANIAN MARKET CAPACITY
Abstract
Desires, aspirations and preferences are subjective elements of demand and they express attitudes or positions that occur at individual level. Though the needs are few, a human's desires are very different and they occur on a permanent basis modelled by social forces and institutions. Though each individual has his/her own features, research shows that the need for food consumption varies depending on several individual (genetic heritage, age, sex, body size, physiological states) and environmental (physical, biological, social, physical effort) factors. The demand for products is a particularly complex economic and social factor with a decisive influence on the activity of all firms. Taking into account the way it takes shape and its goal, demand on the market of agro-alimentary products can be divided into population consumption demand and economic agent demand (or demand of other types of organisations) destined for intermediary consumption.
