DISCRIMINATION IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
Discrimination in the school environment is a major problem with profound implications on the personal and educational development of students. It can take various forms, including racial, gender, ethnic, religious, social, and ability-based discrimination. In this paper, we will analyze in detail the types of discrimination encountered in schools, their causes and consequences, as well as the measures and policies implemented to combat them.In education, it could be said that a student has been deprived of an educational opportunity, loan, group, or scholarship because of gender or age. In property negotiations, a woman could be denied the opportunity to rent a home or receive a loan because of their gender. Another example of gender discrimination that has been observed in banking is when someone is denied a loan or given a different term for a loan based on gender.
