Abstract

Introduction.Lifestyle marks in a specific manner the health and disease through health-risk behaviors, that kind of prosanogene behaviors that it shows up. Risk behaviors can be avoided or at least reduced, and the prosanogene behaviors can be learned and assumed. We intend to have a complete and concrete image on lifestyle components of the University of BucharestВґs students and identify and quantify the risk factors for health; Research methods used in this study were: scientific documentation; Survey method: The method of presenting statistical, mathematical and graphical data. The research is based on the following working hypothesis: Active participation in physical education classes and sports, doubled also by different forms of physical activity practiced in their free time, will influence the lifestyle of young people. The questionnaire was completed by a number of 900 students and included items on, lifestyle, and physical activity. The research findings. Responses to the questionnaireВґs items, offers a wealth of clues to how we can stay healthy through a lifestyle in which sports activities occupy an important role. Responses from the survey questionnaire showed up good participation in physical education classes and sports (90\%), and there is a lower percentage of 15\% students who did not attend any sporting activity in their leisure time. Regarding the percentage of practicing sport 43\% of the respondents said that they were doing that frequently, and 42\% only sometimes. Conclusions. Physical activity, sedentary lifestyle and diets rich in fat are risk factors that have put us on alert in the identification, quantification and prevention for contracting this disease risks. Some risk factors are equal no matter of the preventive measures: age, sex heredity. Others may be sensitive to prevention: obesity, smoking, inactivity, diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, stress. In our work we aim to train the students to have a healthy concept about movement, about its favorable effects obtained by systematic practice of physical exercise, to awaken the interest and desire to move. A particular attention we pay on guiding female students to practice exercise independently few hours a week, in their leisure time.
