This article deals with the classification and typology of the stone altars. These objects are quite common for the nomadic tribes of Eurasia from the seventh to third centuries BC. They are widespread in the forest-steppe of the Dnieper region, Northern Black Sea region, Volga river basin, in the Ural and Kazakhstan steppes and Aral Sea region.
