Drawing on recent research on CarnapВ’s academic schooling in neo-Kantianism and DiltheyВ’s В‘LebensphilosophieВ’, this paper attempts to reconsider the precise objectives of the anti-metaphysical program of Carnap and the Vienna Circle.
