This paper focuses on A Lover's Divination Book (1774) by A. Sumarokov, examining its combinatorial nature and its implicit connections with Leibniz's ars combinatoria. The Russian poet-classicist denied Leibniz's philosophical principles but Sumarokov demonstrated combinatorial theory in his literary practice and confirmed the universality of ars combinatoria.
