During the last ten years, Slovakia has been undergoing a very significant reform of its school system. The basic social condition for meeting the goals of the reform lies in the attitude of teachers towards the implementation of the reform and the curriculum. The authors present some of their research findings proving that the teachers in Slovakia did not fully understood the real goals of the reform, mainly in the area of implementing the dual-level curriculum.
