Cemeteries in the Cape Verde archipelago play an important role in the cultural landscape. They are one of the few elements of sacrum in the public space and provide precious cultural accents, places of contemplation and calm. They have many common features and they are extremely homogeneous. The main aim of the study was to analyze the state of preservation and spatial structure of selected cemeteries in Republic of Cabo Verde.
