In this paper we introduce an authentic treatment of information resources term based on the producer theory. Following this framework, we suggest a list of qualitative measures for demand for informational resources in economic activities. To provide sources for management and forecasting of demand for information resources, we suggest a list of socio-economic determinants for every listed measure of demand for informational resources.
