We are discussing in this paper monumental tombs, which distinguish from other forms of interment and funerary architecture because of their spatial organization, structure and decoration. In the family tombs had been manifested, in a modest manner, the idea of imperial mausoleums but in accordance with economic situation of the family. Building of tombs – family mausoleums marked the entire Late Roman period and had been equally popular among the pagans as well as among the Christians.
