Sustainable both rural and urban roads need appropriate engineering design. Behavior of pavement unbound layers and subsoil can be predicted within either standardized laboratory tests or tests in situ. The first option brings inexactness caused by sampling and test presumptions. The second one takes lot of time and money and in case of reconstruction blockades traffic which is often unacceptable mainly in urban areas.
