A TWOFOLD REPRESENTATION OF ISOLATION IN THE WORKS OF IT DESIGN STUDENTS

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2024, Lana Peternel, Lidija Tepes Golubic, Dan Podjed, Jana Ziljak Grsic)

In this paper, we analyse graphic and multimedia works that the IT design students of the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ) created during the semester as part of a communication strategy aimed at the general public. The students used tools and knowledge in graphic design and, taking into account all the settings for creating a quality design solution, presented their visual solutions under the mentorship of their professors. These works were exhibited during June and July 2024 at the Nikola Tesla Techni...

CREATING AN ARTISTIC WOOL RUG WITH A DOUBLE IMAGE IN THE VISUAL AND NEAR-INFRARED SPECTRA

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2024, Dijana Nazor Corda, Jana Ziljak Grsic, Helena Bacinger Skrlec)

Years of research (since 2014) of the properties of colour twins based on InfraredArt theory the recording in the visible (V) and near-infrared (NIR) spectra, allowed the image to be depicted in two spectral ranges. Continued work in the field of InfraredArt painting led to the idea in 2022 of applying this artistic method to creating an artistic wool rug with a double (dual) image. This was made possible through collaboration with designers and technologists at the company reGalerija in Zabok. After numerous atte...

HIDDEN FINE ART WITH IR COLORANTS

(SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society, 2022, Jana Ziljak Grsic, Lidija Tepes Golubic, Sanda Stanacev Bajzek)

We are surrounded by video surveillance cameras that register separately in two light areas: visible to our naked eye - Red, Green Blue record and near infrared record (NIR – Z). In this article, we present quantitative data on the measurement of light absorption for fine art colorants. We expand the theory and practice of Infrared Art by giving examples of artists who paint so-called "infrared pictures" as a new, different creation of a work of art, a new expressive possibility that the artist adapts to his art...

EXTENDED METHOD OF RESTORATION RETOUCHING IN THE NEAR-INFRARED SPECTRUM

(SGEM World Science, 2021, Dijana Nazor Corda, Jana Ziljak Grsic)

The overpainted layers reveal the artist’s working process, the way he created his work in different phases until the final painting. Photographing paintings in near-infrared spectrum (NIR/IR reflectography) also provides protection against counterfeit art paintings. This paper investigates the intrinsic properties of colorant twins based on the InfraredArt theory, which expands the knowledge about the light absorption response in the visual (V) and near-infrared spectrum (NIR). The key support for the establish...

A postage stamp is a security that goes down in history. The stamp we are presenting was designed and issued in Croatia, EU, on 24 September 2021, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic in Croatia. This stamp contains new values through IRD, and that is exactly what we show and offer to philatelists. The stamp "100 years of otorhinolaryngology" has artistic beauty and scientific innovation in the development of twin colorants. In the visual solution of the stamp are embedded hid...
