The paper presents an experimental research of processing isolated foreign language words in code non-restricted settings carried out with bilingual (Komi-Permyak-Russian native speaking) and monolingual (Russian native speaking) classroom English learners. The received results are discussed from the point of view of bilingual advantage in foreign language acquisition.

The paper presents an experimental research of two functional subsystems which emerge in the process of bilingual lexicon formation: the mixed (L1+L2) subsystem and the monolingual L2 subsystem. The functions of both subsystems and their structural- dynamic properties are discussed.
